On April 29th, the South San Antonio High School Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration HVAC/R (HVAC/R) class held its 2nd annual HVAC competition. Contestants were judged by local industry professionals which included Beyer Boys Air Conditioning Service, County Wide Service Company, and Jon Wayne Air Conditioning & Heating. Juan Garza (left below) won 1st place, Benito Hernandez (center) took 2nd, and Jesse Escamilla (right) obtained 3rd after a tie breaker. All three students are senior in the South San Antonio HS Advanced HVAC class which is instructed by Bennie Hernandez.
