Five Palms 5th Grader Recognized by Methodist Children's Hospital
Kudos go out to Five Palms ES 5th grader Hank Lee, who was nominated for the Methodist Children's Hospital's search for the Next Class of Student Champions in honor of Rowan Windham. San Antonio resident, Rowan Windham was a patient at Methodist Children's Hospital at age 4. He advocated for eliminating childhood hunger in San Antonio and rallied to register bone marrow donors to help save lives. Windham passed away in December 2016 at the age of 10. Principal Greg Martinez says Hank was nominated for his leadership at the school. He takes the initiative to ensure the school is a better place for students. Last year, Hank scheduled appointments with Mr. Martinez to discuss a variety of topics about vandalism, tagging, and writing on the walls at the school as well as student behavior. The future 5th grader wants to beautify the school for everyone to enjoy. Congratulations Hank! Keep up the great work!
