Assessment Wordle
  • The Student Assessment Department is comprised of two components that are aimed at improving the academic performance of students in the South San Antonio I.S.D.:

    1. facilitating all group assessment activities (State & District), and

    2. analyzing the data from the test results for program effectiveness.

The SSAISD testing program consists of the various components of the current State Assessment Program and locally developed benchmarks. The current state-mandated tests (STAAR, STAAR Alternate 2, STAAR End-of-Course, and TELPAS) and district-developed benchmark exams provide curriculum departments with the necessary information to further excellence in teaching.

SSAISD continues to also serve as a TAKS-testing site for Out-of-Schoolers who must fulfill their TAKS or TAAS testing requirement in order to earn a diploma. We are proud to offer this service to our community members who continue to strive towards their goals.

In addition to test management, the Assessment & Accountability Department provides a variety of data services to the central administration and campuses. We invite you to contact us with any questions about the District and/or State testing programs.

So much of the information about the testing program crosses the boundaries between parents and educators so we invite all stakeholders to visit each of the Assessment & Accountability web pages. You will find active links on the left-hand side; we include information for/about:
