    Elizabeth Sandoval
    Principal

Hello SSAISD family, I am Elizabeth Ann Sandoval and I am the Principal of Dwight Middle School. Throughout my thirty years of education, I began my journey as an elementary resource teacher, taught ELAR at the middle school level and was a 3rd grade teacher before I went into administration. My administrative positions include middle school assistant principal, assistant director of special education, elementary principal, middle school principal and high school principal.

In my free time, I enjoy reading an actual book, as opposed to an online book and reading the newspaper (I believe I am one of the few who still subscribes to the newspaper). I love spending time with my grandchildren.

I want students and families to know that my priority is to keep their children safe. I also want to make sure that we are meeting their emotional needs as well as their academic needs. I want them to know that I would like to have more parent participation when we have our open houses, and other activities that showcase our students. It is important to keep the lines of communication open between parents and the school.

My game plan for the 2022-2023 school year is to make sure my staff and students feel safe and supported. My team and I will work together to provide our students with not only high-quality instruction, but also meet their individual academic and emotional needs.I want my students to know that we care about them and want them in school every day because they matter. I hope that I am making a positive impact on my students and providing my staff with the tools they need to deliver the best education possible.

Every student matters, every moment counts!
