Enrollment FAQ

A returning student is a student who was enrolled the previous school year.

Every student who was enrolled within the previous year is required to complete a returning student online registration. In order to collect proof of address, updated phone numbers, and required yearly forms that need to be completed.

No, if your child was enrolled at a South San Antonio ISD elementary they will automatically be registered for the feeder pattern middle school. Parents will complete returning student registration starting July 20, 2026. 

No, if your child was enrolled at a South San Antonio ISD middle school they will automatically be registered for South San High School. Parents will complete returning student registration starting July 20, 2026. 

New Student Registration is for students who are New to South San Antonio ISD schools for the first time or had been enrolled in previous years and are re-enrolling from another school district.   Returning Student Registration is for students who have previously been enrolled in a South San Antonio school the previous school year and ended the school year at a South San Antonio ISD school. 

Yes, you may choose any South San Antonio ISD School by completing a School of Choice Transfer Application.  Items requested will be a report card, discipline, and attendance information from a previous district or current South San Antonio campus.
