South San Antonio ISD’s goal is to provide you and your family with the most effective, cost-efficient and comprehensive benefits package. The following benefits make up the 2026-2027 South San Antonio ISD Benefit Plans. All benefits are voluntary and are subject to change every year.
These programs are reviewed annually to ensure they are in-line with the current trends and remain in compliance with government regulations such as the Health Care Reform legislation. Each plan year, you’ll see a continued dedication to offering a wide array of benefit choices so you can make the best decisions to suit your needs and those of your family.
As a new hire, you have 30 days from your date of hire to make your benefit selections. Please take time to thoroughly review the plans so that you don't miss your opportunity to add valuable benefits that can assist you and your family in a time of need.
South San Antonio ISD works with Daybright/USEBSG to ensure that all eligible employees enroll into benefits. Even if you plan on declining your benefits, you'll need to make that declaration for ACA reporting purposes. You will also need to add a beneficiary to your district-paid life insurance plan.
Once your new hire window to select benefits closes, you can only make changes (add or drop coverage/s) during the district's annual open enrollment period, or if you experience a qualifying event
