What are Ancillary Benefits?
Our District offers a comprehensive ancillary benefits package to all eligible employees. Ancillary benefits include:
- Hospital Indeminity
- Dental Insurance
- Vision Insurance
- Term Life Insurance
- Permanent Life
- Disability Income Protection
- Cancer Insurance
- Heart Attack & Stroke
- Critical Illness
- Accident
- Flexible Spending Account
- Health Savings Account (with TRS ActiveCare HD plan enrollment only)
24-25 plan year coverage dates: November 1, 2024 - August 31, 2025.
Open Enrollment is the best time to review your current benefit selections, verify that your dependents are listed correctly on your plans, ensure that your beneficiaries are up to date as you intend, and make any needed changes to your selections.
It is mandatory to review and select your benefit selections.
You can review your selections by either attending an on-site enrollment session at your campus (please see schedule below), by calling Bay Bridge Enroller Mr. Scott Barnard (210) 391-0750, or by accessing the BayBridge online enrollment site beginning on Wednesday, September 4th through Thursday, September 19th.

Your active enrollment period for TRS-ActiveCare will be open from May 8 – June 8, 2024. Prefer to do enrollment on your own?

Your credentials to log-in to the portal are:
Username: First 3 of First name + First 3 of Last Name + Last 4 of SSN
Password: Lower case first letter of first name + 2 digit birth month + First 5 of SSN
Ancillary Benefits Enrollment (Dental, Vision, Life, etc.) will be held during the month of September and the plan year will begin on November 1, 2024 through August 31, 2025. More information on this enrollment period will be provided at a later date.
