What is the Texas Success Initiative (TSI)?
The Texas Success Initiative (TSI) is a college readiness test specifically designed by the College Board to meet the requirements set forth by the Texas Legislature and the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB).

The TSI assessment aligns with the Texas College and Career Readiness standards and evaluates students' basic skills in reading, mathematics, and writing. The test can be used to determine whether or not a student is college-ready in these three areas.

Results from the TSI assessment can also be used to determine if a student qualifies for Dual Credit courses. TSI re-testing opportunities will be available each semester for students who are interested in dual credit but have not met college-readiness standards. Please refer to the testing calendar below for specific testing dates.
