Food Safety and Sanitation
The SSAISD Child Nutrition Services Department is committed to serving wholesome safe food to all students and customers.
All cafeteria managers have received the state-mandated food safety and sanitation training, Serve Safe.
All campuses comply with the department’s food safety HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Program. Equipment and food temperatures are taken daily and at every meal.
The SSAISD Child Nutrition Services Department prides itself on having excellent health department inspections. All Health Department inspections are posted at the campus for public review.
The Child Nutrition Services Department is unable to store, prepare or heat food items brought in from outside sources due to all safety, sanitation and Health Department concerns.
