MyPlateMyPlate is the latest nutrition guide from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). MyPlate is divided into sections that illustrate the five food groups that are the building blocks for a healthy diet. The size of each food group represents what percentage from each group is recommended: 30 percent grains, 40 percent vegetables, 10 percent fruits and 20 percent protein, accompanied by a smaller circle representing dairy, such as a glass of milk or a yogurt cup.
