Degrees and Certifications:
HELLO! My name is Ms. Daniels and I am currently teaching my second year of Spanish at South San High School. A Southern native, I grew up in South Louisiana and completed my degree in Spanish and Human Rights from the University of Southern Mississippi. I am certified through the Texas Teachers alternative certification program, and I am LOVING my job working with highschoolers here on the Southside. I've been in San Antonio for the last 3 years and it truly feels like a home away from home, filled with good food and wonderful people. When I'm not teaching Spanish I am usually busy running a non-profit music program for low income youth on the Westside called Son Semillas. I also am working on a project with young women in the Tuxtlas region of Veracruz, Mexico that teaches media skills and works to preserve traditional foodways and medicinal plants specific to the region. I feel that our youth deserve the world, and I strive to dedicate myself everyday to provide them with the information and critical thinking skills they will need to survive and thrive as adults.
