We ask parents to keep students at home when ill, i.e. fever, rash that has not been diagnosed by a physician, vomiting, diarrhea, red eyes or eyes with discharge (cause undetermined), symptoms of a cold (sneezing, coughing, sore throat, etc.) disabling pain (including earaches), and any communicable condition (head lice, scabies, impetigo, etc). Students should have a normal temperature for 24 hours after any illness before returning to school.

Medications such as Ibuprofen and acetaminophen temporarily reduce fever but does not make the illness less contagious.
All medication must be brought to the nurse (only), by a parent or guardian. Medication should not be sent with a student.
The parent must provide a written request and fill out a MEDICATION PERMISSION FORM. The medication must be in the original container and clearly marked with the student's name.
Medications bought or manufactured in Mexico may not be administered by school district personnel.
All medication not picked up will be destroyed the last working day of school.
