Degrees and Certifications:
Mr. John McDougal
Welcome! I am John McDougal. This is now my 2nd year at South San ISD, and I am teaching Spanish II. It is nice to be here with you. I grew up on the southside of San Antonio, and graduated from McCollum High School. I have 16 years of professional teaching experience, teaching Spanish I, & II, and World Geography at the high school level. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Southwest Texas State University in Geography. I am certified by the state of Texas to teach Spanish, and World Geography at the secondary level. I, also, have a Masters of Science in Guidance, and Counseling.
I have been married for 28 years to my full-of-life wife, Diana. I have a 21 year old son, and a 19 year old daughter. I enjoy the language and culture of the Hispanic world. I am looking forward to growing in my relationship with the students, and I am available for tutoring to help my students most mornings from 8:15 to 8:45. My conference period is 5th period, which is the first period on the B - days (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday). If you ever have a question, please call the school and leave a message, or send me an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
