Mrs. Adriana White

I am so excited to be back at Shepard Middle School this year!

I love everything about libraries and literacy - books, technology, makerspaces, and more. I believe that everyone loves a good story, and my job as a librarian is to share amazing stories with people, in multiple formats - books, ebooks, audiobooks, graphic novels, picture books, videos, social media, and so many other forms. I also hope to inspire students to tell their own stories.

Before becoming a librarian, I was a special education teacher with North East ISD for five and a half years. I have also previously worked at the UTSA John Peace Library and the Seguin Public Library. I have two Master's degrees - one in Library and Information Science from UNT and one in Education from UTSA.

I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, and playing video games. I have presented professional development sessions on topics like autism and libraries. I am also a freelance writer, and I write articles and essays about education, libraries, autism, and diverse books.

Welcome to the library!
