Registration for students NEW to district will begin on Monday, August 5, 2019 at each campus.
New SSAISD students must meet with the school principal prior to enrollment before registration can be completed.
- Immunization Records
- Proof of Address (water or electricity bill, tax bill, or lease)
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Parent Identification
- Transcripts/Withdrawal Paperwork/Last Report Card
- Court Orders (if applicable)
- Proof of Income (ONLY for Pre-K/Headstart students)

South San Antonio ISD Transfer Policies per FDA (Local)
A nonresident student wishing to transfer into the District shall file an application for transfer each school year with the Superintendent or designee. Transfers shall be granted for one regular school year at a time.
In approving transfers, the Superintendent or designee shall consider the availability of space and instructional staff and the student’s disciplinary history and attendance records.
Children of Nonresident Employees
Transfer requests for non-resident students whose parents or legal guardians are employed by the District, and who are otherwise eligible to transfer into District schools, shall be given first priority.
Nonresident children of District employees must reapply each school year.
A transfer student shall be notified in the written transfer agreement that he or she must follow all rules and regulations of the District. Violation of the terms of the agreement may result in a transfer request not being approved the following year.
