Ricardo Marroquin
PrincipalHello Cougars, my name is Richard Marroquin, and I am the proud principal of West Campus High School. This year marks my 18th year in Education. My path to becoming a principal began in college as I majored in engineering at Texas A&M University. I soon realized I wanted to work with children, so I changed my major to Sociology.
After college, I worked for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services as an investigator. After three years as an investigator, I decided to explore the field of education and I found my calling. My career in education began as a middle school math teacher. Prior to my arrival at West Campus High School and South San Antonio ISD, I served as a middle school principal for five years and a high school principal for three years at Harlandale ISD.
I believe the students of West Campus High School are capable of achieving greatness. As an educator, it is our job to give students the skills they need to be successful, the strength to withstand the challenges and the encouragement they need to believe in themselves. With a strong community supporting them, our students will surpass all expectations.
