
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS TAKS In order to be awarded a Texas diploma, all graduates must demonstrate mastery on the Exit Level Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills test. Students take the exit level test in 11th grade. It consists of four parts – English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Students who fail to pass the TAKS during the 11th grade will be placed in remediation courses to help prepare them for future administrations of the test.
